In this class you’ll learn how to make a charming Christmas decoration that you could either display on your table or pop onto your cake. The class will cover a number of different skills:- using sugarpaste to model the log, robin and the red rose. You will use moulds, and veiners and a little flower paste to create the White Christmas roses and leaves, dusting them with edible dusts and food colour. Finally your Christmas scene will be delicately frosted with a light sprinkling of icing sugar snow. You will be given a small gift box to take your treasure home in.
This class takes place on Saturday 15th December 2-4 pm at the Quaker Meeting room, Railway Street, Hertford, SG14 1BA (Next door to Halfords).
Tea and Coffee, possibly a cracker or mince pie and certainly a great big dollop of seasonal goodwill will be provided too !
The cost for a class is £30 per person per class. This payment includes all your materials and equipment so all you need to bring along on the day is a bit of enthusiasm ! You will be able to take home your finished decorations .
The classes are suitable for anybody including the complete beginner.
How to get there
There are two nearby train stations. Trains to Hertford East run from Liverpool Street and trains to Hertford North run from Kings Cross. Both are within a 20 minute walk and both have taxi ranks outside.
There there are a number of nearby car parks. – St Andrew Street, Gascoyne Way and Bircherley Green.
